We are a non-profit community organisation open to anybody who wishes to participate in our events and activities.

Our Mission

We exist to help build a strong, healthy community brought together by a love of the outdoors and physical activity.

What we do

We organise walking and running events in and around Geraldton, Western Australia. We offer courses suitable for all ages and abilities. Courses range from 3 - 4 km up to 17km.

Each year Harriers runs the Geraldton Marathon and Half Marathon, which attracts visitors from around Australia and the world.

The Harriers season runs from April to September. Our events begin at 9.00am on Sunday mornings (long course participants sometimes need to start earlier).

A short history

Brother Tom Picket and Ross Williams founded The Geraldton Harriers Athletic Club in 1969. The first event was held at the Greenough Rivermouth on Saturday 27 April 1969. Women have competed since 1975.
